From Wordinfo:
harpaxophilia
Sexual arousal from being robbed or burglarized. A type of sexual fetishism in which the subject is aroused from being the victim of a robbery or burglary. The word comes from the Greek word ἅρπαξ, harpax, “robber” and -philia, “love”. Harpaxophilia is also sometimes called chrematistophilia from the Greek chremistes, “a moneydealer”; which can also include sexual arousal by having to pay for sex.
I’m not sure where I stumbled upon this one. When I first read about it, I figured that this is primarily a female fetish. Then I found out about the Alfred Hitchcock movie “Marnie”. I think they’re playing on the fetish, but the actual fetish itself is arousal from being robbed, not robbing.
Harpaxophilia may also play into voyeurism, based on what I’ve read in erotic literature. Before breaking in, the robber watches the female undress. Usually, in the literature, the female is at home alone and a male sneaks into her house and robs (and sometimes rapes) her. The female is inexplicably aroused by this.
